Contemporary relief art, between structure and feeling.
Sculptural works in metal leaf, modelling compound and pigment —
pieces that shift with light and change how a room feels.
I keep asking where a painting ends and a room begins. I build each piece by hand from layers of spackling compound and paint, carving structure until the surface holds its own weight — visually and physically.
Inside the studio
Every surface is built by hand, layer by layer, in a Düsseldorf studio — plaster, pigment and silver leaf catching different light through the day.
